Student council elections are coming soon!! If students are interested in running for student council they can get an application from the office. Elections assemblies will also be coming soon. Students will vote for representatives from their grade level.
Student council runs assemblies, canned food drive, spirit weeks and class competitions. Council
meets every other Wednesday at 7:50 a.m. in Mrs Gardner’s room.
Spartan Social is coming soon! Socials are a PBIS incentive. Students earn the opportunity to attend the social if they qualify for the social. The first social is TBA, and students who have zero referrals will qualify for this fun afternoon of choice activities!
Stand up Spartans: students have the opportunity to apply to become a Stand Up Spartan. These are students who are self-managers.
They are respectful, responsible and ready to learn every day. They have outstanding attendance and academic organization. SUSs will be treated to some great privileges and field trips throughout the year. Students who don't maintain these expectations will be asked to hand in their badge and reapply the following quarter. Applications are now being accepted.

Senate Bill 895 and Oregon Administrative Rules 333-050-0010 through 0140 require schools and children' facilities to share immunization and exemption rates in three ways:

2. In the main office
3. By sending a paper or electronic copy to parents twice a year.
Please view Seven Oaks Current Immunization Rates for 2015-16.
Join the Seven Oak SMILE Club!
WHAT IS A SMILE CLUB?
The SMILE clubs are the foundation of the SMILE Program. The clubs are for minority students, students
who are from low income households, and those who would be the first in their families to go to college.
The SMILE clubs meet weekly for one to two hours of hands-on STEM activities. They are organized by
grade level and average about 20 students per club. Typically, the clubs are run out of a local school and are advised by math or science teachers in the school.
The SMILE Teacher for Seven Oak is Ms. Sater. The Club will be open to qualifying 7th and 8th graders this year. Meetings will be after school. Transportation may be available. Watch the Spartan Speak for more information.
Mrs. King is now on
maternity leave, please
direct newsletter and/or
via email to Mrs. Norris.
» Field trips are considered a privilege and students who are not behaving at school in a respectful, responsible way may be asked to bring a parent chaperon on the field trip. This would require a parent to pass a background check and fill out a volunteer form in the office.
» The snack bar is still in need of volunteers! Tuesdays and Thursdays are the days most in need. It is a fun, easy way to support your student's school. Grandmas and Grandpas welcome, too!
» If your child has PE this year, it is not too late to purchase a combination lock for their belongings. We strive to create a safe environment for their possessions, but ultimately locking their things up each day will be the best option.
» If your student purchases drinks before school starts, please encourage them to finish them before bringing them into our building. Sugary drinks are messy to clean up and are not allowed in our gyms. Thank you.
» We take many calls toward the end of the school day. Most of these are messages regarding "going home" plans for students. We are asking that you let your student know in the morning before school how he/she is getting home. If there is a change in plans, please call before 2:30 p.m., if possible, as it is very difficult to get messages to students after this time. Thank you.
