Did Your Student Test Positive for COVID-19?
In order to keep our student population healthy, we expect families with students who test positive for COVID-19 to follow this guidance from Oregon Health Authority and call your school to let them know.
Students with primary symptoms (cough, fever of 100.4 or greater, difficulty breathing/shortness of breath, or loss of taste of smell) are excluded from school and may return after 5 days if they are fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medicine and other symptoms have improved. It’s recommended that individuals should wear a well-fitting mask around others at home and in public, including at school, for 5 additional days (Day 6-10) after the end of the required 5-day isolation period. Those who are unable to wear a properly fitted mask are advised to stay home on Days 6-10 before returning to school.
Too Sick for School?
The following guidance is from the Oregon Health Authority regarding when you should keep your student home from school. This list also guides us in determining when to send students home so they can recover and we can keep other students and staff safe.
